With the increase in the level of accumulated Grease and Oil waste generated from food processing within the food industries, the need for an environmentally friendly recycling solution resulted in the launch of the Al Serkal Grease Trap Waste Treatment Plant Envirol a joint venture spear headed by the Dubai Municipality

Envirol plays an important role in recycling grease trap waste obtained from the food industries and outlets that are spread across Dubai. Setting its prime target on waste produced by Commercial kitchens and the food industry, which is Fats Oil and Grease mixed along with food remnants, Envirol is the first oil treatment plant established to tackle this waste and reintroduce it back to the environment as water for irrigation, refined oil used by the soap and bio fuel industry and the sludge is converted to fertilizer used for composting in farms.
All processes involving collecting and transporting of waste from grease traps in food processing, should be clean and carried out only with approval from the Municipality and in line with the rules and regulations that all grease trap waste should only be sent to Envirol by approved Grease Trap Waste Transporting companies.
